14th Annual PBEO Job Fair
The 2007 PBEO Job Fair was a huge success. While in Nashville, over 120 organizations posted almost 500 positions during the three-day event.

We would like to thank Dr. Jan Bell and her fine staff from St. Thomas University, in Miami, FL, for their invaluable contributions to the 2007 Job Fair. Each year, the St. Thomas staff joins us at the Baseball Winter Meetings to help set-up and execute the event. We could not have done it without you.

• Control labor costs by effective scheduling and detailed attention to payroll (i.e. monitor days scheduled to avoid seventh day rule, limit overtime, check for errors in pay rates and in/out times)
• Careful attention to labor issues to ensure we are in compliance with the current labor laws

Directly supervises all part time Staff.

Greensons Baseball LP is seeking a Media Relations Manager to manage the day-to-day media relations operations of the Spikes, while assisting in select projects for the Altoona Curve.

    Responsibilities
    • Manage all baseball information for the State College Spikes, including daily statistical packages and game notes
    • Responsible for all State College press box operations, including hiring and overseeing P.A. announcer, official scorers and scoreboard operators, issuing press credentials to media covering events at the ballpark and maintaining a clean and professional working environment
    • Serve as liaison between members of the Spikes and the local and regional media
    • Write and distribute press releases, newsletters and other team information to media and fans
    • Generate ideas and content and serve as editor for the gameday program, which will be updated for each home series
    • Responsible for overseeing the creation of all team marketing materials, including pocket schedules and sales brochures, while working with the appropriate departments to determine timelines for the completion of each project
    • Assist Altoona media relations efforts, particularly as they pertain to State College and other Centre County media
    • Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with local and regional media outlets, while aggressively pursuing ways to maximize coverage for both clubs
    • Responsible for all updates and new content for the official State College Spikes website, while also assisting in providing on-line content for www.altoonacurve.com
    • Responsible for assisting Sponsorship Sales staff in both Altoona and State College with the creation of sales proposals
    • Cultivate new sponsorship sales leads and assist Sponsorship Sales staff in achieving team sales goals
