    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Catering Supervisor will oversee all catering venues at Riverwalk Stadium, including twenty luxury suites and three picnic venues with capacity of 50 – 2500 people. This person will manage a staff of at least twenty (hourly and volunteers) and will be responsible for the set-up, clean-up and operation of all catering venues. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for communicating with clients about food orders and menu options, handling any customer service issues during events, as well as holding weekly meetings between the food service department and sales department to ensure that food delivery, bill distributing, and the opening and closing of picnic venues are done in a timely manner. The Catering Supervisor will work closely with the Director of Sales, Executive Chef, and Director of Food Service.

    This is a full-time , and this person will be required to work a full-time schedule that includes regular office hours (Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm), all Biscuits’ home games (70 games), and any other catering events held at Riverwalk. This schedule varies and includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

    The Catering Supervisor will report directly to the Director of Food Service.

    Requirements:
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Prior experience in foodservice, restaurants, or catering
    • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem solving skills
    • Must be able to maintain strong thinking skills while under pressure and time limits

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The box office intern will assist the ticket manager in directing ticketing operations. He/she help direct box office sales representatives in maintaining quality customer service and cash management procedures. He/she will also assist accounting, production and delivery of season tickets, single game ticketing and all other special ticket sales. He/she will have the opportunity to learn the Ticket Return ticketing system used widely throughout the industry and the Biscuits custom contact management system utilized by the sales force. The box office intern will manage all cash handling procedures while working directly with the GM-Operations, the Box Office Manager and the Business Manager.

    SUMMARY:
    The Seasonal Groundskeeper is responsible for assisting the Head Groundskeeper in the overall up-keep and maintenance of the field at Riverwalk Stadium – named the best stadium in Minor League baseball. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, mound, plate, turf, and infield skin maintenance, field applications, sod work, pre-game and batting practice field prep, irrigation, tarping, and field set-up.

    This is a seasonal position, with employment starting in March, 2007, and running through the end of the season in September. Exact dates of employment can be flexible depending upon school schedules. Long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

    Requirements:
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Candidates should be enrolled in a Turfgrass management or related college program

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Catering Coordinator position involves pre-event consultative contacts with clients who use luxury products including annual suites, nightly suites, and picnic or luxury entertainment venues. During these contacts, he/she will discuss menu options, confirm orders, and verify payment and serving times. In addition, the Catering Coordinator will make visits to all clients during the game event assuring that the event is meeting the clients’ expectations. This service oriented position has the need for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with the ability to up-sell clients on menu enhancements. The Catering Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Sales while serving as the conduit between the sales and food service departments.

    Interns are required to work a full-time schedule that includes regular office hours and all Biscuits’ home games. This schedule varies and includes nights, weekends and holidays. The Biscuits are able to work around a class schedule in March and April if necessary.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Kitchen Manager is directly responsible for the cooking and delivery of food for the entire catering operation at Riverwalk Stadium. The catering operation consists of 20 luxury suites with a full-scale menu, as well as three outside picnic venues - a left field deck for 50 people, a picnic area in right field that can service groups of up to 2,500 people, and a party deck at suite level for 125 people. There is one full-scale kitchen to service all of these areas. This position will be expected to direct a kitchen crew of 10-12 people, and will require someone with cooking and management skills to be able to provide food for all catering venues within a short period of time. This position will also require someone with excellent time management and organizational skills. The Kitchen Manager reports directly to the Director of Catering.

    The Kitchen Manager is a seasonal position, working from March, 2007 through the end of the season in September. This person will be required to work a varied schedule that includes all Montgomery Biscuits home games and all city events that require food service operations.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Marketing Assistant’s main area of responsibility is to orchestrate all Biscuits’ advertising and promotional plans in mediums that include television, radio, outdoor, print, and e-based efforts. This person wll assist in all facets of the media buying process, from being a strategic thinker in the media planning process to the purchasing and execution of the media plans. Additionally, he/she will monitor and analyze all Biscuits’ advertising for consistency, quality, and effectiveness in promoting our strong brand image.

    The Marketing Assistant also serves an important role within the Biscuits’ interdepartmental marketing efforts. This person will market the other departments in the organization, including retail, food service, and human resources, and will constantly evaluate all in-house promotional opportunities to enhance the Biscuits’ brand. The Marketing Assistant will be the point-person and event planner for certain special events that pertain to these departments, including, but not limited to, the Pre-Season Gala, Retail Holiday Open House, Suite Holder Food Sampling, the annual job fair, and all employee appreciation events. The ideal candidate must pro-actively help other departments and re-actively fulfill immediate needs that may arise.

    All full-time staff members are required to work a full schedule that includes regular office hours and all Biscuits’ home games. This schedule varies and includes nights, weekends and holidays.

    Requirements:
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Creative minded with an educational background in Marketing, Advertising, PR, or a related field
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Media buying experience preferred

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The box office intern will assist the ticket manager in directing ticketing operations. You will be asked to submit a weekly inventory, and be able to explain any missing or damaged items. Distribute bats to players as needed. Coordinate with staff on distribution of batting practice and game balls. Keep detailed accounting of bats and balls.  Issue and maintain all uniform items, including the washing of pants, jerseys, socks, belts and jackets. The ballclub has a seamstress available for all needed repairs.  Oversee preparation for road trips, including loading equipment and team bags onto bus. Pack uniforms and caps for players who may join the team on the road trip. When team returns from a trip, transport gear to stadium and help unpack.  Maintain contact with Texas Rangers’ minor league equipment manager for all equipment needs and repairs (radar guns, video equipment..)  Run errands for staff and players when necessary. Supervise clubhouse assistants and bat boys.  Clean and maintain the appearance of home, visiting and umpires clubhouses, by sweeping and vacuuming, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, supplying toiletries for staff and players, doing laundry for home team and umpires following each game, shopping for and preparing pre-game buffet, preparing drink coolers for BP and games, keeping the batting tunnels clean and completing additional duties as assigned.
    Requirements: At least 18 years of age with an outgoing personality and the ability to lift heavy objects. Ability to work long hours. Candidates must possess solid communications skills, organizational skills and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Individual must work successfully in a team environment.   • Work closely with Lynx field staff to ensure on-field baseball needs are met during season

  • Work industry hours while maintaining field and surrounding ballpark areas during calendar year

  • Perform wintertime Stadium Operations duties in off-season

  • Assist in the “unhibernation” of field and stadium from winter to pre-season

  • Oversee stadium and field pre-season timeline to ensure April 1 opening

  • Assisting with other departments when necessary
